Over the years, Republicans have made a lot of claims about the great things that tax cuts for the wealthiest Americans and corporations can do. Republicans have claimed that tax cuts pay for themselves when basic math tells you that this is impossible.

Republicans love to claim that tax cuts for the rich create jobs, but decades of data show that tax cuts for those at the top don’t boost job growth, and the best way to create jobs is through middle and lower-class tax cuts because middle-class Americans put more of their tax cuts back into the economy than those at the top.

Trump and Republicans promised to lower prices. The concern about prices and inflation was one of the main reasons that they won the election.

Given how important this issue is to the American people, you would think that Republicans would get right to work to come up with a plan to lower prices and reduce inflation.

Speaker Mike Johnson (R-LA) suggested that Republicans have a complex plan to lower prices, and you’ll never guess what that plan is.
